HOW DO I CHANGE MY EMAIL OR PHONE NUMBER?
First, open your home screen and tap on the 3 vertical dots on the top right-hand side – tap on ‘Edit Group’
You can then edit your Phone Number or Email address from the Group Info page.
I FORGOT MY PASSWORD!
If you have forgotten your password, follow the ‘Forgot Password?’ link to receive a password reset email which you’ll receive in your registered email inbox. Create a new password and Log in.
Steps on how to create a new password are shown further below.
When creating a password you will need to include ALL the elements below to ensure the password is strong:
- 8+ characters
- 1 upper case letter
- 1 lower case letter
- 1 number
- 1 special character
As you create your password, each element you include shows up in green.
Below you can see that 1 special character is missing from the password being created as it is still showing as grey, and not green.
Remember! You need to check the Terms of Service and Privacy box.
HOW DO I TURN ON COVID-19 SCREENING?
First, open your home screen and tap on the 3 vertical dots on the top right-hand side – tap on ‘Edit Group
Enable COVID-19 screening by tapping on the box highlighted below labeled as ‘Require COVID-19 Check’
HOW DO I ADD A NEW USER TO MY ORGANIZATION?
Select the hamburger icon in the top-left corner of your home screen.
This opens up a panel from the left-hand side of your screen, where you can ‘Add User’.
This takes you to the following screen when you can fill out the ‘User’ details. You can also choose if they are also an administrator and don’t forget to read and check the ‘Terms of Service and Privacy Policy’
HOW DO I ADD A NEW GROUP TO MY ORGANIZATION?
Select the hamburger icon in the top-left corner of your home screen.
This opens up a panel from the left-hand side of your screen, where you can ‘Add Group’.
CAN I CHECK OUT ALL THE KIDS TOGETHER?
When you select the ‘Checked in’ column on your home screen, you have the option to ‘Check Out Everyone ‘ as shown below.
HOW DO I REMOVE A KID FROM A GROUP?
Select the group from which you would like to remove the kid. This can be accessed by selecting the hamburger icon in the top left corner and then choosing from the listed groups.
Tap on a kid from your home screen which opens up the kid’s profile – then select ‘remove’.
‘Delete’ removes the kid from the entire organization.
HOW DO I ADJUST A GROUP’S START OR END TIME?
First, open your home screen and tap on the 3 vertical dots on the top right-hand side – tap on ‘Edit Group’
You can then edit the start and end time from the Group Info page.
HOW DO I DELETE A GROUP?
Open your home screen and tap on the 3 vertical dots on the top right-hand side – tap on ‘Delete Group’
HOW DO I REMOVE A KID FROM MY ORGANIZATION?
Tap on a kid from your home screen which opens up the kid’s profile – then select ‘Delete’.
‘Remove’ removes the kid from the group, not the organization.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I DELETE INFORMATION (GROUP, KID OR USER)?
When it comes to protecting the information of our community, we follow strict precautions that safeguard any data linked to our organizations. The result includes Kidlink having little to no data archive. We only keep the records you keep. Which means if you delete anything, that information will be gone forever.
To cover the potential errors you would experience, we have detailed the results if you delete a group, kid, or user below.
- Deleting a group means your organization will no longer have the ability to export attendance or get historical statistics from that group ever again.
- Deleting a kid will remove the applicable student’s information from all future data exports. If you didn’t mean to remove them, you will have to manually add them and restart the collection of their daily attendance data and upload their unique Student ID.
- Deleting a user will erase all your user’s data permanently. If this user is the administrator of an organization, the organization’s Kidlink data may be at risk. Be very cautious when deleting users, or reach out to support for help.
We want to make sure Kidlink intuitively saves your organization precious time. We recommend you consider keeping old groups and kids around, especially because your Kidlink account will only ever be charged for actively used groups/kids.
Pro Tip: If your group remains the same after a school year, consider simply renaming the applicable group to achieve Year over Year (YoY) statistics. YoY Statistics will be impossible if you are consistently deleting and recreating your groups.
